False Confidence

May 11, 2016

Confidence is the depth of belief that you have the skills necessary to achieve a desired goal.

Of course, you believe you have the skills. But how's your depth?

Sooner or later, the world will find it out.

Athletes often act like they have lots of confidence. But they don't.

They have false confidence.

It's fake. Made up. Oversized egos. Based upon inflated praise.

It's created from people telling you what you want to hear.

True confidence only comes from knowing that you've put in more sweat, sacrifice, reps, commitment, and time than your opponent.

When it's you versus him/her, you truly know that you'll prevail.

As you experience genuine, hard fought wins, confidence grows.

This is the only way to increase your depth of belief.

Out work your opponent. Get real confidence.
