The Digital Drug

March 23, 2017

The brief panic you feel when you can't locate your cell phone.

The reflexive reaching for your phone as soon as your mind is idle.

Walking around like a zombie with your head down disengaged and scrolling.

Do you even know how many times you check your phone daily? Too many.

It has happened so subtly, but you have likely become addicted to your phone.

The cell phone has become today's digital drug.

There was a time long ago when a generation got addicted to cigarettes.

They did not know the long-term ramifications of the habit of smoking.

It is likely that we've created a similar scenario today with cell phones.

Rethink your relationship with your phone.

Create more space (physically as well as frequency) between you and it.

The psychological dependency is wreaking havoc on too many people's lives.
