Time for a Social Media Break?

September 10, 2018

The more you are on social media, the more depressed you likely are.

It's alarming that studies are consistently showing this link.

One reason is most people put their best face forward on social media.

By itself, this is not really a problem. It's nice to see people happy.

The reality is that it is just a slice of one's life; not the whole thing.

The whole thing would not be nearly as glamorous to share with others.

As you spend more and more precious time scrolling, something happens.

Perception becomes reality in the slowest, insidious way.

A part of you knows this and can rationalize it to others too.

Another part of you is already sucked in.

You may be part of the problem and don't realize it enough to change it.

Maybe it's time for you to take a break from social media?
